Meet Porto ‘Go’, the simplest most portable leather-clad iPod dock in the world

York, 18th September 2008, 2 pages: Audio Pro's new Porto Go is a leather-clad, genuinely portable mains or battery-powered music system for the iPod®.

Few batterypowered iPod systems are as tactile and carriage-friendly as Porto Go, and unlike many mains-powered systems of similar sonic potential, it can travel literally anywhere!

Porto Go is the perfect Christmas gift for all iPod owners. Upholstered in immaculately stitched red, white or black leather, this slim but highly durable design is ‘Made for iPod' and can dock all music players except ‘Shuffle'. Navigation through songs, artists and compilations can be made from the fascia buttons or through the neat credit-card sized remote (with a 5 metre range) supplied. For added convenience, the remote can be stored with Porto Go by clicking into a pocket on the back of the unit.

Other source components, including the iPod Shuffle and other MP3 players, can be connected using 3.5mm stereo jack. There's also a subwoofer output for the addition of an active sub and for strictly private listening, a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack.

Through its EmbracingSound™ technology, the compact Porto Go system not only generates size-defying levels of rhythmic, punchy sound (at up to 100dB), but stereo
imaging as well, transforming an iPod from a personal to a big-sounding party music player for that far-flung barbecue or beach event.

Porto Go is also a very neat and flexible mains-powered home or office music system. Built for mobility, its compact design is easy to situate and carry from room to room.
When it cannot be plugged into the mains, six R20 batteries provide the power.

Fully charged, Porto Go will supply all the quality the iPod can offer at high volume for up to eight hours, and complement the essence of iPod and other MP3 players by delivering the freedom to enjoy and share your media whenever and wherever you choose.
