The Cold Wet Nose Show

Why do dogs want to go to Loseley Park, Guildford, on Saturday 12th July?

The Cold Wet Nose Show is unlike any other event: a day out for the whole family to enjoy - dog included! The family pet will have more fun than a kid in a theme park!

Silly treble-barrelled kennel names or long pedigrees won't interest our lovely judges. This is an event with a warm heart, a keen sense of humour, and lots of waggy tails. Plus, it's massive - possibly the biggest outdoor gathering of pet dogs you'll ever see!

The show originator, Dogs Today's editor Beverley Cuddy, says, “We might all be having loads of fun, but the show will also remind the public how wonderful a well-brought-up dog can be, and, best of all, it raises vital funds and awareness for some of the most deserving and amazing innovative dog-related charities - some of which you've probably never heard of before!”

Here's just some of the things to see and do:

Dog Brain of Britain - each dog gets two-minutes to convince the judges that their dog has talent. We're expecting skateboarding dogs, dogs who can skip... you name it!

Top Dog - Hprobably the largest fun dog show in the world. Classes for everything from ‘dog with the best ears' to ‘best six legs'.

Look-alikes - two classes (for naturals and augmented). We positively encourage cheating! (We've known people to dye their hair or make a full furry suit!)

King of the Kong - Olympic-style games for dogs. Try out Extreme Kong Challenge, Air Kong Aim or Classic Kong Chance. Organised by Dr Roger Mugford's Company of Animals, there will also be free Halti masterclasses for dogs that pull on the lead.

Doggie Dancing - have a go or just watch in awe! Dogs Today readers have been learning a dance routine to Singing in the Rain and will be performing it for the first time. Top doggie dancing maestros will be strutting their stuff, too.

Flying Saucers - nearly every dog likes to play fetch, but GB Disc Busters do it with flying discs. Prizes for the longest catch and the most catches within 90 seconds.

Make a Splash! -  A new sport from America will be debuting at the show. Dock Dogs bring a swimming pool and a platform for dogs to jump off. Prizes for the longest water jump and the highest. If you've a doggie water baby, this could be the sport for you!

Kids and Dogs - training guru Sarah Whitehead will be teaching under-15s how to train dogs to do tricks and showing them some games to play. One five-year-old has already trained her dog to skateboard! Start them young!

Essex Dogs Display Team - most are rescue dogs and they'll all be performing spectacular top-speed, high-energy displays that will leave you speechless!

Sniff it Out - Pioneering trainer Claire Guest has trained dogs to sniff out cancer and to alert diabetic owners when their levels drop. She will show how to train our dogs to use their noses, too. Imagine if your dog could find your car keys or the TV remote!

Jump to it! Whether you just want to watch amazing dogs doing agility and flyball or you want to have a lesson yourself, it'll all be happening here! There will be heats of emerging sports Clever Dogs and Scent Hurdling, plus a weave challenge.

Tellington Touch - Sarah Fisher and her team show how this amazing method can help you establish a deeper rapport with your dog and improve performance and health.
Cold Wet Nose Award Winners - amazing heart-warming stories that celebrate the canine/human bond.

Plus loads more… displays by assistance dog charities Canine Partners and Hearing Dogs. Plus tons of doggie shopping, refreshing Pimms tents, and strawberries and cream! Two nights of doggie camping at the beautiful Loseley Park, near Guildford.

There's only one place to be if you love dogs…
