Coram Extends Bathscreen Range

Coram Showers has expanded its collection of high performance bathscreens with the launch of an innovative sliding model.

The first of its kind for the UK market, and Coram's largest bathscreen to date, the new Frameless Sliding Bathscreen combines excellent durability and functional design with the latest in contemporary, minimalist styling.

Fully extended, the Frameless Sliding Bathscreen expands to a vast 1065mm in length, and when not in use, can be pushed back to just 650mm.

This size and flexibility means Coram's Frameless Sliding Bathscreen delivers exceptional protection against shower spray, and also enables greater access to the bath when required.

A distinguishing feature of Coram's Frameless Sliding Bathscreen is a patented ‘slide and lock' mechanism, which has been purpose-designed to ensure the screen remains rigid and perfectly aligned with the rim of the bath when fully extended. Importantly, this unique design feature also prevents the screen from sliding back while in use.

“When developing the Frameless Sliding Bathscreen, Coram sought to create a product that improved upon existing sliding designs both aesthetically, and in terms of performance”, said Steve Rogers, designer at Coram Showers. “Often, conventional sliding screens can sag when extended because of the weight of the glass.

However, by incorporating the unique ‘slide and lock' mechanism, the Frameless Sliding Bathscreen offers unparalleled functionality and robustness.

“Also, due to the company's commitment to innovation, Coram has been able to produce the first sliding bathscreen, which is entirely frameless. This is a particularly important development as minimalism is set to continue its stronghold within the bathroom, and is proving ever popular with the end-user.”

Coram's Frameless Sliding Bathscreen is available in a chrome finish with plain glass panels. The design also features a discrete chrome handle, which allows the user to slide the screen without leaving finger marks on the glass.

To ensure precise installation, each Frameless Sliding Bathscreen is supplied fully assembled and is quality checked prior to distribution. In addition, as with all Coram bathscreens, this latest design includes a patented levelling system that allows fast, accurate installation and easy re-adjustment, if required.

A nylon bush in the hinge ensures smooth and silent operation and enables the bathscreen to be swung 180 degrees for straightforward cleaning. Furthermore, a push-on transparent polymer seal at the base of the bathscreen deflects water back into the bath, delivering complete leak-free performance.
